I know I said I would come back another day but I still had thoughts left in my mind.
This post is pretty much a continuation of the first.
So like I said, with COVID and lock down I had a lot of time to get myself "Professionally Developed". Thanks to my teacher buddy and pretty much my lifeline and sanity during online learning and this whole "luxury prison" time, I started exploring the life of free online courses. From Edpuzzle certification to edX online courses, I was like "yaaaassss my resume is gonna look so good!". But then you get tired lol.
I've so far managed to cop Edpuzzle Coach certification, Diversity and Inclusion, edX Inquiry-Based Instruction classroom strategies (as a refresher), and two other PD courses (WITH HOMEWORK!!!) from Teach-Now, and I must say, it did feel good for the soul... especially when you get cool badges to add to your LinkedIn profile.
Getting an official looking certificate is also a good confidence boost too. See Exhibit A: edX
So now as I update my resume, I will say that in getting the certificates and badges, the learning experience has also been great. Google Educator is what I hope to tackle next but I must say that one has been pretty overwhelming. The sad part is that I'm pretty verse on G Suite Education Tools, but when you add schoolwork/training/work to anything, it just makes it less fun *sigh*... (how do I make text bold on this thing <b> </b>... I should probably learn html or coding next... ).
Lost my train of thought for this post, and yep, I've done my productivity quota for the day.
Over and out.
